This is the flow chart of sanctions that may be taken against you if you are found to have broken the rules. You can see how many Warnings you have using the !dino command.
Warnings break-down;
1st Warning = Your 1st, please read the rules so it does not happen again.
2nd Warning = You are kicked from the server. You may return right away.
3rd Warning = Dino is slayed and a 24 hour ban.
4th Warning = Permanent ban
All incidents are handled on a case-by-case basis and the imposed sanctions will depend on the circumstances of those situations, as interpreted by the staff member handling the rule break. If you disagree with a ruling on a warning handed out, you are able to DM the staff member who issued the warning and request a second review by a different staff member to go over the warning again from your side of things however please note: if the warning stands, it stands. Do not argue and have respect for the staff member.
Warnings now have a limitation of time on account. This time is 2 months.
Head Admin and above may skip to ban if they deem it necessary
1.) - Do not drop locations in Global.
➔ Location dropping is when you give away your current location, or the location you are heading toward, by stating it in the Global chat or in a public space within the Discord.
➔ You may share your location within a VC or in Group chat with your pack/herd.
2.) - Do not spam or speak in all caps in Global. One word in a sentence is allowed.
➔ THIS is allowed. THIS IS NOT.
3.) - You are allowed to use certain curse words in Global, however keep it PG13. NSFW language or content of any kind is not allowed.
➔ 3a.) - None of the curse words you use may be used to attack, belittle or degrade another player.
4.) - No slurs of any kind for any reason. This includes, but is not limited to: homophobic slurs, racial slurs, sexual slurs, etc.
5.) - Do not argue with other players or with staff in Global chat. Take it to Discord DMs or make a ticket if you feel someone's broken a rule against you.
6.) - Respect each and every dino. Do not show disrespect to any player or staff. Treat everyone how you want to be treated. We have a zero tolerance policy for hate and/or disrespect.
➔ 6a.) - Respect every player’s privacy. Do not ask for addresses, locations, names, login information or any other personal information from other players. Any personal information along these lines should only be shared by willing parties and without pressuring or prying.
7.) - We allow teleports (TPs) for juvies to their packs/herds, and we allow slays or “snackrifices.” Getting a TP, slay, or “snackrifice” is not a right, but a privilege. Staff are not required to provide these, and they will be conducted at the discretion of individual staff. You can request a slay or TP no more than twice in a row. You must confirm a TP or slay when prompted by a staff member.
➔ Our Bot is also outfitted with a !tp and a !slay command. See our DNA bot help channel for more details.
➔ If you request a TP or slay and a staff member does not respond, please be patient and remember that staff members are not obligated to perform these commands.
8.) - All investigations abide by Crimson Isle rules. Any reports or requests found to be false or made in error are handled accordingly, and may result in your request for a dino replacement or growth being denied without negotiation.
9.) - Carnivores and Herbivores cannot be in the same VC at the same time unless it is in the General VC.
10.) - Do not mini-mod. Only staff members are allowed to moderate the server. If you would like to apply to be staff, and meet the base criteria- such as having been active on Crimson’s in-game and discord servers for two weeks or more- then fill out a staff application.
11.) - We do not allow inappropriate names. This is in-game and on the Discord. If asked to change your name please either do so, leave our server, or run the risk of a ban.
12.) - Alt Accounts are not allowed. This is to make it fair to everyone using the bot.
10.) - Do not take or use Crimson Isle's Intellectual property. (Rules, discord setup, players, etc.) This is bannable.
11.) - Do not kill a staff member who has TP’d to you, or who is TPing you to someone else.
12.) - If a player has broken a rule against you, make a ticket. If you do not have recordings we cannot help you.
13.) - If you feel a member of staff has broken a rule against you, fill out the staff report form. Staff Reports are handled by Head Admins and above. You will be contacted once the report is reviewed and ready for action.
14.) - Do not kill a dino you've been friendly with. A friendly dino is a dino who has been friendly with you (2 called you, stated in chat that they are friendly or are hanging out with you).
➔ If you’ve been friendly with someone, you cannot attack them for one day and night cycle.
➔ If a Dino does not 2-call back at you, then they are not considered friendly, and can still attack you.
15.) - Usage of hacks, mods that give you an unfair advantage in the game and/or exploits that we do not explicitly allow is prohibited. You may only use client-side mods that do not have glowing textures or altered lighting. If you have proof of someone using a hack or a mod/exploit that we do not allow, bring it to a staff member as soon as possible. Exploits allowed in our server are as follows:
➔ Tail-riding
➔ Nod-biting, double-biting, drag-biting and sniping
➔ Attacking while standing up (Theri, Para, Shant)
➔ 15a.) - You may not use remodels or reskins that affect your hitbox.
➔ 15b.) - Vocal mods must be appropriate and cannot contain unreasonably loud noises, slurs or NSFW content.
➔ 15c.) - You may not use mods that highlight dinos or make certain dinos glow or shine in dark/dim lighting or from a distance.
➔ 15d.) - You may not use mods that increase your night vision or utilize gamma.
➔ 15e.) - You may not use mods to increase your dino’s speed.
➔ 15f.) - You may not use mods that allow you to spawn as an adult dino you did not buy or grow, a sandbox dino or dinos/entities that do not exist in the game (Speed Freak, Titanoboa, human, etc.)
➔ 15g.) - You may not use mods that drastically alter the map to an unfair degree (winter maps, reduced foliage mods, etc.) or alter the lighting of the game in any way (Increased sunlight, brighter moonlight, etc.)
16.) - Purposefully exploiting a rule loophole is a serious offense and will be punished at the discretion of the Head Admin or above.
➔ 16a.) - Purposefully bending the rules to avoid getting a warning is a rule break in-and-of-itself and may result in you receiving a warning. Do not troll our server.
17.) - You cannot claim land as your territory anywhere on the map. Everyone is able to go where they please. However, if there are nests, remember that you can eat and drink your fill, but must leave the nesting dinos to their nesting.
The Crimson Isle is a safe space; this means everyone should be able to chat and play without having to fear that they might face their triggers. This is why we made a general trigger-list with the most common triggers that aren't allowed to be discussed both In-Game and in Discord.
➔ Be advised that by clicking this link, you will be viewing sensitive topics that may make some users uncomfortable, proceeding with discretion is advised. This link leads to another document that has been provided to censor the topics within.
➔ We also have an awareness channel for those who may need to talk to someone or need some support and/or help. ♥
1.) - A Carnivore player does not have to announce or 3-call a Dino to begin a fight. However, if you do not 3-call the player, or show signs of aggression, that player can run to safety and could gain protection for their dino. (Protections include, but are not limited to: water, rock, etc. See our “Protection” rules below.)
2.) - Herbivore players cannot initiate combat without warning. For an Herbivore to initiate combat with another dino or a group, the group they are initiating combat with must have been acting in a threatening way toward them (Crouching at them and staying crouched, biting at them, etc.) The Herbivore must then mock bite 3 times or 3-call three times. However, if a Carnivore has already initiated combat, an Herbivore is no longer required to give any warnings.
3.) - Baiting is allowed. Players are allowed to bait, lure or trap their prey or opponents in any way, shape or form as long as they are not utilizing apex gore or an in-tact body that they are in possession of.
4.) - If you are not part of a pack that is fighting, you cannot interfere with that pack’s fight. This is known as “third-partying.” Sit back and enjoy the show!
➔ 4a.) - If you see a pack or solo dino hunting other dinos, you cannot interrupt their hunt. If you see a Dino crouching, it is highly likely that they may be hunting or about to initiate an attack. Please wait to see if they are in (or are about to initiate) combat before you attack and keep this rule in mind.
➔ 4b.) - you cannot group mid-fight and then help. This includes logging in and joining a fight that has already been initiated.
5.) - A Carni can kill without being hungry, however they must stay with any player body they kill (player AI doesn’t count). This means we allow players to kill for sport, as long as they abide by a “one body down” rule.
7.) - Combat is initiated when you or another dino is crouching, 3-calling, biting, or showing aggression of any kind. Combat may not be initiated between two groups for one full day and night cycle after both sides were friendly with each other.
➔ 7a.) Crouch spamming/sniff spamming/head nodding does not count as 2-call, nor is considered an aggressive action.
8.) - Do not Combat Log. This means you cannot log out of the server while in combat, while being hunted or while you have the “bleed” effect. You may log once you are out of combat, do not have a body and are not bleeding. If you log before combat is initiated it is NOT considered combat logging.
9.) - Do not commit body denial of any kind. You cannot run into the water deeper than your ankles, go into a burrow, get on a rock, jump off a cliff where your opponent cannot access your body, or do any type of action that could possibly make your body inedible while in combat.
10.) - Do not grow while initiated in combat.
11.) - If adult dinos are engaged in a fight and a juvie from either pack/herd dies, it does not count as a body and fighting may continue. Juvies should avoid fights between adult dinos at all costs. Juvies interfering with fights is considered “body throwing.”
➔ 11a.) - If an adult dino is specifically hunting a juvie that is part of a pack/herd and is intending to kill it, it will count as a body.
➔ If the juvie is killed in the crossfire between two adults fighting by placing itself in harm's way, it will not count as a body.
12.) - You cannot have more than two interactions with the same player or pack/herd more than twice in one full day and night cycle.
➔ 12a.) - Interaction means attack/being attacked, contesting for body etc.
13.) - Once you run/walk away from combat or 4-call to surrender, that fight will count as the first interaction. If you go back to the same player or pack/herd, it will count as a second interaction. A third interaction with this same player or pack/herd without waiting a full day/night cycle is not allowed.
➔ 13a.) - If you 4 call during combat, the opposing side can still continue the fight if they wish.
14.) - Do not Target any pack/herd or individual player for any reason whatsoever.
➔ 14a.) - Targeting is when you attack the same player or pack/herd over and over again for any reason.
➔ 14a.) - Stream-sniping (using stream to locate players for the purpose of attacking them) will also be considered targeting.
15.) - Revenge killing is not allowed. You cannot track down and initiate combat with a player for revenge, either for yourself or a packmate, in any way.
Camping is when you stay close to a protected dino, pack or herd because you intend to attack when their protection ends. See our “Protection” rules below for more details.
Body Camping is when you wait for their body to disappear / despawn, then attack directly afterward. If your body disappears / despawns and you are walking away from that area and are attacked, it is not considered Body Camping.
Nest Camping is when a dino waits near another dino’s nest for them to get off of it for any reason so they can attack the nesting dino. If a player is nesting, leave them to nest. If you want to kill them, you must be sure they do not have hatchlings or juvies first. If they do NOT have hatchlings or juvies, you must 3-call them 3 times and give them time to stand, move off the nest, and fight. If a Dino refuses to move off the nest after being 3-called 3 times, DO NOT kill them on a nest. Contact a staff member for assistance.
➔ You may not stay near a nest or body that does not belong to you or your pack/herd. If you are not contesting for the body, or if the nest has hatchlings and/or juvies, you must leave the area. If you asked to eat from a body and were granted permission, eat your fill and move on.
➔ If you kill a herd member you must stay directly with that body and leave the herd as soon as the body is gone. -> You may rock, water, and burrow camp.
16.) - If a member of TCI staff drops a body (admin slays), it can not be claimed and cannot be contested. It is a gift, and should be eaten by anyone who needs it.
17.) - Staff bodies are random drops and may not be requested or asked for at any time.
18.) - If you are unable to finish a staff dropped body, you can leave it. This is the only non-AI body you can leave.
19.) - If a staff member is playing as a regular player and engages in a fight where they are killed, that is NOT considered a staff-dropped body. The body is claimed by the opponent.
20.) - Do not request to be slain, teleported somewhere or have someone be teleported to you while you or the other player/pack/herd are initiated in combat.
Protection means you are in an area or have something that protects you from being hunted or otherwise attacked. You may not claim any kind of protection besides body protection as a carnivore while you have the “bleed” effect. Sitting on a nest, climbing onto a rock, entering a burrow or entering any kind of water with the “bleed” effect is considered body denial.
Rock protection is when a dino can get out of reach from others by climbing onto a rock. Dinos can be 3-called off the rock at any time and must come down from the rock and fight, unless they are raptors. Raptors may sit on rocks and do not have to come down and fight when 3-called.
Only Raptors have Permanent Rock Protection.
Raptors include:
Radio Tower is a fenced off area that is also a protected space for raptors.
➔ If another dinosaur can reach you and eat your body, they are allowed to attack you within the fenced area at Radio.
Water protection is when a dinosaur sits in any water source half-submerged while still able to stand and drink from the water. Any dino can gain water protection as long as they were half-submerged before combat and do not have bleed, but they can be 3-called out at any time.
Certain dinos have permanent water protection and cannot be 3-called out of the water, and do not have to exit if you do so.
These dinos include:
➔ Do NOT kill a dino in water at any time for any reason. If they refuse to exit the water when 3-called or are AFK, seek an admin for assistance.
Burrow Protection is when any dino that is able to burrow sets one down and enters it for safety. Do not destroy a burrow for any reason. Once a dino is in their burrow, you cannot destroy the burrow to make them come out. You may not enter a burrow after combat has been initiated, doing so is considered body denial.
Nest Protection is when a dino is sitting on a nest that they have put down, or is sitting on a herd/packmate’s nest as a guardian in their absence. The dino sitting on their nest can be 3-called off if they do not have hatchling or juvies- but you may not 3-call them off of or away from their nest while they have hatchling or juvies in their care.
➔ Hatchlings have nest protection indefinitely. You may not kill a hatchling for any reason at any time.
➔ If you 3-call in any protected area you lose that protection and must fight.
Body Protection is when a Carnivore has killed their prey/opponent and has gained the rights to claim and eat from that body. Once a Carnivore has claimed a body, they cannot be attacked or initiate combat until the body despawns or until they are 3-called off the body and contested. Carnivores with a body can 3-call other players away from their body if the other dino has eaten it without permission, but this does not forfeit their protection unless the other dino 3-calls back. If the player 3-calls back, you must 3-call once more to fight for your body or 4-call to surrender.
21.) - We have one body down rule, which means that once you or your pack have killed a player, all fighting between you and your opponent’s team must stop.
➔ When Mix-packing it is strongly recommended you use a voice channel to prevent any unintentional rule breaks.
22.) - If your pack initiated combat and the opposing pack kills their packmate by accident, your pack claims the body.
23.) - If your pack did not initiate combat and the pack hunting you kills their packmate by accident, you can choose if you want to claim the body or have them claim it.
➔ Example: Pack A is hanging around and minding their own business and pack B initiates a hunt against them. Pack B accidentally kills one of their own packmates, and pack A can choose whether or not to claim the body, since they did not initiate the fight and were not actively seeking a body.
24.) - You must stay with the body until it is all gone. Apex/open-rib gore counts as a body. See our tier list in our Packing Rules for more details.
➔ As we allow players to kill without being hungry, our despawn timer is set for 15 minutes. Please keep this in mind while hunting.
25.) - You can share your body, but you may not broadcast that you have a body or where it is, nor can you ask someone to 3-call you from a body.
➔ Example: If a Dino walks up and asks you for permission to eat, you may allow them to do so. However, you cannot broadcast in Global chat stating you have a body from which people can eat or ask a friend to 3-call you off the body. If you are telling your packmates you have food, please do so in the Group chat.
➔ Herreras, Austros, and Velos are allowed to scavenge bodies at their own risk. They are able to eat from bodies without asking, however, the owner of the body is free to defend their body and kill them. If a dino is killed while eating from a body without permission, the owner of the body may choose to claim this body instead and give up their claim on the old body.
26.) - You may leave your body temporarily to get water or fill your nest that was placed before combat was initiated, but you must return as soon as possible.
➔ If you need to leave your body for water and that body is no longer within sight, you lose your body protection! Be careful! Drink and return to your body right away. Once the body is within sight again, you regain your protection.
27.) - Do not nest dump. This is when a player places a nest after a battle is completed to empty their stomach and lower their hunger, allowing them to finish their body faster.
28.) - If you are contested (3-called) for your body by another Carnivore, you must 3-call back to fight for your body or 4-call to surrender and walk away. Do not walk up to a player's body and eat from it without permission; either ask in Global chat first, challenge them for the body by 3-calling, or move along.
➔ 28a.) - You may not contest for a body you were already contested for nor for the body of a fallen packmate.
➔ 28b.) - If you win the challenge you can pick between the original body or the newer body. You cannot claim both. The losing pack must claim the body that the winning pack does not claim.
29.) If you are contesting a player for their body but they are AFK- If you have 3-called 3 times and the player has not moved or reacted in any way- that body now belongs to you or you can choose to walk away as long as you do not eat from the body. The other player not responding to you is equal to them 4-calling. Do not kill the AFK player, the body is already yours and there is no need to fight. When they return, please inform them of what happened and that they no longer have body protection.
➔ The AFK player, after you have taken the body, no longer has body protection and can be hunted/attacked by another player or pack.
30.) - If you find a body that does not have an owner and eat from it, you now own the body. AI bodies do not count, even if they are player AI dinos.
Dinosaurs that do drop Apex/open-rib gore when adult:
Dinosaurs that do not drop Apex/open-rib gore:
Any and all dinosaurs mentioned prior that do drop Apex/open-rib gore when adults will not drop Apex/open-rib gore before the adult stage.
You must be the same species of dino as your packmate to group with them (nametags are visible and you are able to communicate in group chat.) See mix-packing rules below for further details.
Mix-packing is when 2 dinos of the same diet, but not the same kind of dinosaur, are in the same pack together. Dinos who are not the same species can group in-game as our server has the universal grouping mod.
➔ Tier 5 dinos can pack with Tier 2-4 dinos. The pack limit for these packs is 10, following the above rule of two adult capacities if the dinos from Tier 5 are adults. This means if you have two Tier 5 adult dinos in your pack, you can only have up to eight Tier 2-4 adults. The limit of Tier 4 adults in a mix-pack is four.
➔ Subs are considered Tier 3 until they reach the adult stage.
➔ Example: 2 adult trikes, 4 adult theris, 2 sub trikes and 2 adult gallis (together= 10 adults).
➔ Tier 5 dinos can pack with Tier 2-4 dinos. The pack limit for these packs is 7, following the above rule of two adult capacities if the dinos from Tier 5 are adults. This means if you have two Tier 5 adult dinos in your pack, you can only have up to five Tier 2-4 adults. The limit of Tier 4 adults in a mix-pack is four.
➔ Subs are considered Tier 3 until they reach the adult stage.
➔ Example: 2 adult rexes, 4 adult acros and 1 adult dilo (together= 7 adults).
Mix-dieting is when both Herbivores and Carnivores pack together.
1.) - Players can Mix-Diet with other Dinos once the server is at or below 25 players. If there are over 25 players on the server, you cannot mix-diet any longer.
2.) - Mix-dieting follows pack limits of carnivore mix-packing (7 adults max.)
3.) - Juvies and hatchlings do not count towards group/mix-packing limits, however, they must split from the pack/herd once they reach the sub-adult stage (or adult stage for dinos that do not have a sub-adult stage.)
4.) - Tier 1 dinosaurs do not count toward mix-dieting and can do so at any time, regardless of player-count in the server.
To Invite players: Press the Tab key on your keyboard to bring up the player menu, find the player who agreed to join your group and click the plus (+) sign beside their name.
1.) - If you have a group member causing you trouble- remove them from the group and 3 call them away. If you must, inform them that they are no longer a part of the group.
➔ To remove someone from your group: Press the Insert key on your keyboard, click the word “group” in the top left, click the name of the player you wish to remove, and finally click “kick.”
➔ Once a player is removed, you cannot attack them for 1 full day/night cycle.
2.) - Do not send random group invites to players. Ask in Global before sending the invite.
3.) - Do not kill group members.

7.) - In a pack, or in a herd, you are considered a whole. Examples are:
➔ 7a.) - 1 body down for the whole pack regardless of where other packmates may be. If you join a pack that already has a body down before you joined, you inherit that body upon accepting the invite, and should start heading toward your pack and body right away.
➔ 7b.) - 1 fight per pack. If you are in a pack of 5 Dilos, including yourself, and 4 of them are at Trips engaged in a fight, you cannot start another fight by yourself with another dino. Try and get to trips as soon as possible to help your pack.
➔ 7c.) - If you are away from your pack and heading toward them when you get attacked, you may call upon your pack to help. However, you cannot be away from your pack and initiate a fight then call your pack for help.
➔ 7d.) - If one of your packmates 2-calls, or 3-calls your whole pack is considered to have made that call.
8.) - Being in a large pack or herd is a responsibility. Using a Voice Chat (VC) to have direct communication with each other is strongly encouraged. The most common issue we see in a pack is a packmate who is not aware that one of their packmates has 2-called a dino, and that dino is attacked by said player. This is a rule break for the whole pack. Commutation is key.
9.) - Only female dinosaurs can make a nest, but a dino of either gender can gain nest protection by sitting on the designated nest and acting as a guardian for the hatchlings/juvies while the mother dino is away or absent.
➔ 9a.) - Only one adult, the one sitting on the nest, gets nest protection.
10.) - Once you have placed a nest, do not randomly invite players to your nest. You must advertise your egg in Global and wait for a response.
11.) - If a female is found off the nest to get food or water and has (a) hatchling(s), the nesting dino may not be hunted. Hatchlings need their nest and their mother to survive.
12.) - Do not purposely kill hatchlings you have just nested in or advertise eggs just to kill the hatchlings.
13.) - If a female dinosaur or caretaker does not have a hatchling or juvenile on their nest, you are able to 3-call them off of their nest. You must 3-call 3 times in order to force the female off the nest, and you must wait for them to be physically off the nest before attacking. Do not kill a dino on a nest. If they refuse to leave, call for a staff member.
14.) - Males only get nest protection when acting as a caretaker for hatchlings or juvies that are present on the nest, but only one dino can have nest protection from a single nest at a time. A male receiving nest protection as a caretaker temporarily forfeits the female’s nest protection.
15.) - If a Dino is acting as a caretaker for hatchlings or juveniles, they are fully protected from any 3-calls. They do not have to stand up to fight or accept challenges. Do not Nest camp! You must stay away from nesting dinos with hatchlings and/or juveniles.
16.) - You are allowed to get water or food near another dino’s nest, but once your thirst and/or hunger are full, you must leave. Do not sit or “hang out” near the nesting dinos, unless they give you permission to do so. You must still follow packing rules, even if the nesting Dino has invited you to stay near them.
17.) - If a hatchling is wandering around the nest to get water or for any other reason, you may not kill it. Hatchlings have nest protection permanently, regardless of whether or not the nest is within eyesight.
18.) - Juveniles are allowed to be killed when away from their nest, but may not be killed on or around the nest. If their nest is within sight, you may not kill juvies.
19.) - Do not nest hop. Nest hopping means accepting several nest invites in a row without intending to keep any of the dinos hatched from the eggs. If you accept an egg from a player, you must grow to juvenile stage before accepting a new nest invite.
20.) - Selling eggs is not allowed. Please use din0-trade-channel for trading and selling fully grown dinos.
21.) There may only be a maximum of 2 packs nesting at any time in a single location.
➔ For example, if three packs are sitting around at Party, only two of these packs can place nests down and the third must move along and find somewhere else if they’d like to nest.
1.) - Pue's are disabled.
2.) - Do not fight near the spawn point or attack players who have just spawned in.
3.) - Do not interfere with other players fights, or attack strangers at random. 3 call before attacking.
4.) - Do not spam your calls.
5.) - Hacking will result in a permanent ban.
6.) - If you are banned from Crimsons Survival or Evrima servers you are not welcome on our Deathmatch server.
7.) - We do allow players to use dirty/glitched skins on Deathmatch
Guide Events are welcomed! DM Toe Muncher for more information
