TCI- the isle -EVIRMA

Server and Community Guidelines

Rules are subject to change as the server grows. Want to help build this world with us? Join 『❔』suggestions-evrima! 0.) In-Game Recording

  • It is your responsibility to record your own gameplay on EVRIMA. Without a recording, we cannot assist you.  ➜ OBS is a great tool to use.

Communication:

 a.) No Global Chat

  • In EVRIMA, there is no Global Chat. Use either a group VC or 『🌎』evrima-global to interact with both players and staff.

b.) Language Usage

  • You are allowed to use curse words in 『🌎』evrima-global. However, you may not direct these words towards another player. None of these words may be used to attack or degrade another player.

c.) No Slurs

  • No slurs, of any kind, including but not limited to homophobic, racial, and sexual slurs, are allowed in-game or in the Discord servers.

d.) Conflict Resolution

  • Do not argue with other players or with staff in 『🌎』evrima-global. Use 『🛑』-make-a-ticket if you feel someone has violated a rule against you.

e.) Respect

  • Respect every player and staff member. Treat them how you want to be treated. We have a zero tolerance policy for disrespect.

e.1) Privacy

  • Respect players' privacy; do not ask for personal information, such as where players live. If that information is voluntarily shared with you, it's a different matter. Do not invade people's private lives.

f.) Staff Authority

  • Staff members have the final say in all actions. If a staff member investigates your claims, finds you in error, and declines to revert a situation, that decision is final.

g.) Voice Channels

  • Carnivores and herbivores are not allowed in the same VC at any time.

General Gaming:

 a.) Intellectual Property

  • Do not take or use Crimson Isle's intellectual property (rules, discord setup, players, etc.). This is bannable.

b.) Staff Interactions

  • Do not harm a staff member who has TP'd to you.

c.) Report Violations

  • If a player violates a rule against you, report it in 『🛑』-make-a-ticket. If you lack recordings, we cannot assist you.

d.) Staff Reports

  • If you believe a staff member violated a rule, fill out the 『📝』-staff-report-form. Staff Reports are handled by Head Admins and above. You will be contacted once the report is reviewed and ready for action.

e.) Friendly Dinos

  • Do not kill a Dino you've been friendly with. A friendly Dino is one who has 2-called you, and you've also 2-called them back. Do not kill a player you have just 2-called for 30 minutes (aka bait calling).  ➜ If a Dino does not 2-call you back, then they are NOT considered friendly and can attack you.

f.) Exploits/Hacks

  • Using Exploits/Hacks is a serious offense. If you have proof of someone using these, report it to a staff member as soon as possible. An example of an Exploit is using Gamma.

g.) Rule Loopholes

  • Purposefully exploiting a rule loophole is a serious offense and can be punished at the discretion of the Head Admin or above.

h.) Bending Rules

  • Purposefully bending the rules to avoid warnings is a rule violation itself and may result in receiving a warning. Do not troll our server.

These rules and guidelines are designed to create a respectful and enjoyable community for all players.

TCI Evirma Consequences

Behold the roadmap of repercussions for rule violations. Monitor your warnings via the DMs you receive using the !dino command.

Behavioral Strikes:

  • When you breach or disregard a mandatory or distinctive behavior outlined in a dino's profile, you'll earn a strike. You're allowed up to 3 strikes before they escalate into a formal warning.

Warnings:

  • Please note that warnings have a 2-month expiration period. They will remain on your record for 2 IRL months before being removed.

➜ 1st Warning = Consider this your initial reminder; please revisit the rules to prevent further infractions.

➜ 2nd Warning = A temporary removal from the server; you may return at your discretion.

➜ 3rd Warning = Your dino meets its end, and you face a 24-hour ban.

➜ 4th Warning = Permanent ban from the server; should you wish to return, you can submit a ban appeal form.

Note: The ban applies across all TCI servers

Every incident is treated individually, and the severity of sanctions depends on the circumstances, as assessed by the staff member handling the case. If you disagree with a warning, you can open a new ticket in our server to request a second review by a different staff member; however, please remember that if the warning stands, it stands. Respect for our staff is essential.

Head Admin and above may expedite the process to a ban if deemed necessary.

Crimson's Rules of Engagement

1. Crimson's Rules of Engagement

a.) One Body Down Rule

  • This rule applies to all species unless specified otherwise, and only if they are attacked first.

➜ Utahs may continue to fight until three of their pack mates die.

➜ Carnos can continue to fight until two of their pack mates die.

➜ In the case of Raptor/Carno packs, fighting stops at 1 body down. The player or pack of players gains protection from this body (see 1.) Body Down Rule below).

2. Body Down Rule

  • You do not have to stay with a body that is not on your diet (e.g., cannibalize, rotting corpse). However, if you can eat from it, you must stay with it.

3. Before Combat

a.) Carnivores

  • Carni players do not have to announce or 3-call a Dino to begin a fight. However, if they do not attempt to bite them or 3-call, the targeted player can run.

b.) Herbivores

  • Herbivore players cannot initiate combat without warning. To do so, the group they are initiating combat with must have been acting in a threatening way toward them (biting at them or 3-calling). The Herbivore must then mock bite three times or 3-call three times. However, if a Carnivore has already initiated combat, an Herbivore is no longer required to give any warnings.

c.) Baiting and Luring

  • Players are allowed to bait, lure, or trap their prey or opponents as long as they have not 2-called them.

d.) No Interference

  • If you are not part of a pack that is fighting, you cannot interfere with that pack's fight. Sit back and enjoy the show.

e.) No Interrupting Hunts

  • If you see a pack or solo Dino actively hunting other Dinos, you cannot interrupt their hunt.

➜ You cannot group mid-fight and then help. This includes logging in and joining a fight that has already been initiated.

➜ Deinosuchus are allowed to 3rd party in fights as long as it's within lunging distance of the water.

f.) Carnivore Behavior

  • A Carni can kill without being hungry; however, they must stay with any player body they kill.

4. In Combat

a.) Combat Initiation

  • You are not considered in combat until a player from either side has "attempted" to land a bite, mock-biting, or 3-calling you. Until then, they are merely threatening.

b.) No Combat Logging

  • Do not combat log. This means you cannot log out of the server while in combat, while being hunted, or while you have the "bleed" effect. You may log once you are out of combat, without a body, and are not bleeding (bleeding without a plus sign on your icon). If you log before combat is initiated, it is NOT considered combat logging.

c.) Juveniles and Combat

  • Juvies should avoid fights between adult dinos at all costs. Interfering with fights as a juvie is considered "body throwing."

➜ If an adult dino is specifically hunting a juvie that is part of a pack/herd and intends to kill it, it will count as a body.

Server Rules and Nesting Guidelines

Note: Rules may evolve as the server grows. We welcome your input in shaping this world. Join the discussion in 『❔』suggestions-evrima.

Nesting Dinosaurs:

To create a nest and eggs, follow these steps:

  1. Pairing Up: A male and a female dinosaur are required for nesting. To initiate courtship, face each other and hold the 'N' key.
    1. Confirmation: You can verify a successful pairing by pressing 'TAB' and checking your Status Report for the "paired with" notification.
    2. Nest Building: Both genders can collaborate to build a nest. Hold 'N' to construct the nest or collect debris to create and cover it.
    3. Egg-Laying: Lay your eggs in the nest. Ensure their warmth by adding debris or sitting on them.
    4. Monitoring: Sniff to check your eggs' status, including their temperature, current gestation, and if someone is requesting to be hatched in.

Nesting Rules:

  • A. Nest Protection: Once a nest is established, hatchlings have nest protection and should remain close to the nest. Both parents and herd members are permitted to defend their nest and can be attacked.
  • B. Nest Interaction: If you find a dinosaur on a nest, whether they have juveniles or hatchlings, you can use a 3-call to signal them to leave the nest. You must 3-call three times to compel them to move away from the nest. You must then wait until they are physically off the nest before any aggression. Fighting on the nest is prohibited.
  • C. Non-Compliance: If a dinosaur refuses to leave a nest, contact a staff member via 『🌎』evrima-global for resolution

Nest Camping Rules:

  • A. Scavenger Rights: Scavengers are permitted to attack and kill hatchlings that are part of their diet. However, these kills cannot happen directly on or inside the nest.
  • B. Non-Scavenger Carnivores: Non-scavenger carnivores cannot camp hatchlings but can target and kill adult dinosaurs within the nesting area.

Guidelines for Group Behavior

1. Friendly Call: Hold the 2 key to invite same-species Dinos to join your group.

2. Removing Group Members: If a member becomes a liability, you can remove them by following these steps: Press Tab > click “group” > click the name you want to remove > click “kick.”

Different Types of Groups:

A.] Grouping The same species of Dino [Game allows you to group with each other]

B.] Mix-Packing Different species of Dino [Game does not allow you to group together] Trick: Use a Voice Channel when Mix-Packing to stay in contact and avoid possible rule breaks! Communication is key.

➜ Is only allowed for herbivores

Herbivore Herd Limits (Mixed):

For Herbie's we are allowing Mix-Packing. In a Herd of mix-packed Herbie's you can have:

  • 2x Adult Apex Herbivores
  • 4x Adult Mid-Tier Herbivores
  • 6x Adult Low Tier Herbivores
  • Unlimited Hatchlings

Tier List:

Apex Tier Dinos:

  1. Stego
  2. Deino

Mid Tier Dinos:

  1. Carno
  2. Cerato
  3. Teno
  4. Dilo

Low Tier Dinos:

  1. Utah
  2. Humans
  3. Dryo
  4. Hypsi

Scavengers:

  1. Ptera
  2. Troodon
  3. Herrera

Scavenger Rules:

1. Scavengers can scavenge bodies/chunks at their own risk.

  • a. The owner of the body can defend it and kill the scavenger if caught without permission.

2. Scavengers can follow carnivores or herbivores for food at their own risk.

  • a. Scavengers cannot interfere with fights or protect the herd/pack they follow.

3. Scavengers are not allowed to join voice chats with those they follow, reveal locations, or lead them to other dinos on the map.

Symbiotic Relationships:

1. Symbiotes are omnivores with specific dinos they follow. They will approach at a distance and 2 call to seek acceptance.

2. Symbiotes are not to be protected by the pack they follow and only count as a body down if they were the original target of the hunt.

  • a. They cannot protect the herds/packs they are following.

3. Symbiotes cannot kill players unless in self-defense or claim player bodies.

4. Symbiotes can join voice chats with those they follow, share locations, and lead them to other dinos they've seen.

5. Symbiotes follow their species at their own risk and can be denied or 3 called away after their 2 call period has ended (30 minutes).

  • a. Do not kill symbiotes without proper warning (3 call first, then you can become aggressive).
  • b. Bait calling symbiotes is not allowed; after a 2 call, you cannot attack them for 30 minutes

Symbiotes:

  1. Beipiasaurus
  2. Gallimimus

Profile Rules

  • You can be rejected at any time by the person you are courting, and you cannot pester/harass them for it.
  • If proven a liability, the majority may push a pack/herd member from the group by 3 calling them 3 times. They, however, may not attack or kill the pack member for 1 day-night cycle afterward.
  • You must follow the profile's Mandatory and Distinct Behaviors.
  • When nesting, you can choose to accept or deny a player.
  • You can only help protect the same species or symbiotes (while following your packing and mix-packing limits).

Name - AKA "Name meaning"

Group Limit

  • Group limit is how many dinosaurs you may have in one pack/herd. Failure to follow this rule can result in a warning.

Leadership Type

  • Leadership type tells you who is in charge of the pack/herd. Leaders will usually make most decisions but are allowed to consult with their group first on making decisions. If the pack finds their leaders incapable of safely leading their group, the group members may leave to start their own or try to find another to move into.

Scavenger Tolerance

  • Scavenger tolerance gives a list of dinosaurs that a predator might allow to feed off of their bodies and follow them around. This, however, does not mean they may protect or pack with each other.

Mandatory Behavior

  • Mandatory behavior is what players must follow. If you fail to comply with this rule, you can and will receive a Behavioral Strike. 3 Behavioral Strikes = 1 Warning.

Optional Behavior

  • Optional behavior is behavior that you do not have to follow but may choose to. These roles are here for those who want to add a little more Semi-Realism to their pack/herd.

Distinct Behavior

  • Distinct behavior explains distinct rules that a species may have
