○ Water Bound - A Kaprosuchus may only start a hunt from within a water source or from within lunge range of a water source [IC pond excluded]. Once a pursuit or combat starts, the Kaprosuchus can pursue its prey inland without limitations. If caught traveling on land, Kaprosuchus can defend themselves or their downed body from other predators, but cannot contest or start combat when inland. If raining, Kaprosuchus may now hunt inland and may finish a current hunt after the rain has cleared. Cannot hunt inland if it is not raining. Note: Lunge range is about the length of an adult Argentinosaurus. See attached images.
○ Pack Hunter - When below 3 adult members, Kaprosuchus will only hunt juvies/adols, scavengers, low-tier, and mid-tier dinosaurs. May hunt unattended juvi/adol sub-apex and apex dinosaurs. If an adult sub-apex or adult apex arrives to defend the juvies/adols, then the Kaprosuchus must flee. Once 3 adult Kaprosuchus are present, can also start combat with adult sub-apex dinosaurs. Must avoid combat with adult apexes or higher.
○ Protective Parent - Kaprosuchus will protect and come to the aid of their grouped juvies/adols.
High Aggression
Small, must have a water source - Needs 4 adult members to claim.
Independent - Will think of their own personal benefit before others.
Kaprosuchus CAN hunt on land - See “Water Bound” Mandatory
Kaprosuchus are not allowed in the water in IC - Even if in combat
Kaprosuchus are not allowed to ambush-attack from the small freshwater stream in YG; this means they cannot start a hunt from within this water.
A terrestrial crocodile, Kaprosuchus is well suited for hunting on land due in part to having longer legs than other traditional crocodilians. Much like other crocodilians, Kaprosuchus enjoys spending the day basking in the warm sun, often retreating to cool/shaded areas like forests or bodies of water when it gets too hot. During the night Kaprosuchus is much more active, often seen stalking its prey and waiting for the right moment to pounce.

○ Lazy Hunter: Latenivenatrix will scavenge first before hunting. If a player or AI corpse is nearby, within line-of-sight, they must scavenge from the corpse before hunting no matter the Latenivenatrix group-size.
○ Pack Hunter: Will hunt all juvies/adols and low-tier adults when the group has at least 3 adult Latenivenatrix. With 5 adult Latenivenatrix group members, they can hunt mid-tier and lower dinosaurs. They will not hunt juvi/adol apexes attended by adults no matter Latenivenatrix group-size.
○ Cannibalistic: When at 5 adults, Latenivenatrix will always choose to cannibalize any other Latenivenatrix that are not in their group, before trying to hunt other prey. When below five group members, they may still choose to be cannibalistic but it is not a requirement.
Adult Latenivenatrix, while solo or in a group of 2 adults, can hunt other scavengers (excluding Pachycephalosaurus). Adult Latenivenatrix, while solo or in a group of 2 adults, can only hunt these specific low-tier herbivores: Camptosaurus, Citipati, Dryosaurus, Psittacosaurus, Struthiomimus, and Tenontosaurus. If these low-tier herbivores are in a mixed herd with adult mid-tier or higher herbivores, Latenivenatrix must flee when these herbivores arrive to defend their grouped low-tier herbivores.
High Aggression
Nomadic - Cannot claim territories.
Patriarchal - Male Dominant.
Usually adorning more neutral colors like brown, gray, and tan; Latenivenatrix is often found in more arid and dry climates. During the scorching daylight hours, Latenivenatrix can often be seen resting in shaded areas to conserve energy. However, as the sun begins to set and the temperatures become more comfortable, Latenivenatrix becomes an active and agile predator. Latenivenatrix often hunts in pairs or small groups, displaying cooperative behaviors to increase the efficiency of their hunts.

○ Cannibalistic & Picky Eater: Maips must hunt other Maips who are not in their group over other dinosaurs. If there are no other Maips in the POI, they will choose weak or injured dinosaurs within line of sight [must still follow Combat Rule 2C]. If there is no preferred prey, they may hunt all other dinosaurs within their other restrictions/behaviors.
○ Safety in Numbers: Maips avoid adult sub-apex or apex carnivores unless in a group of 3 or more adults.
○ Pack Hunter: When in a group of 2 Maip adults or less, they can hunt unattended sub-apex or apex juvies/adols. Once the adult apex arrives to defend the juvies/adols, the Maips must flee.
○ Hydrophobic: Will not swim in pursuit of prey during combat or after a hunt has started.
High Aggression
Nomadic - Cannot claim territories.
Matriarchal - Female Dominant.
Mostly active from dusk till dawn, the Maip is a vocal hunter; their echoing calls chilling the blood of its prey and love to play with their food. As frequent travelers, Maips will cross great distances in the day to seek new hunting grounds, favoring wooded and shady areas to stalk potential prey. Far from social, Maip packs will become aggressive and restless when hungry, often abandoning young to pursue food or preserve their own life. Male Maips will roll onto their backs to appease the appearance of females and to attract a possible partner; 'cooing', 'purring', and clicking their claws together to show their interest.

○ Cannibalistic & Picky Eater: If not interested in grouping up, they will chase out or kill Megalanias not in their group before hunting any other prey.
○ Night Hunter: During the day, Megalania may hunt any growth stage scavengers, low-tier, and mid-tier dinosaurs; when it comes to sub-apexes or apex dinosaurs, they can only hunt unattended juvi/adols. At night, Megalania will hunt prey of any tier or size, and can continue/finish a hunt that started during the night even after the sun rises.
High Aggression
Small, must have a water source - Needs at least 3 adult members to claim.
Independent - Will think of their own personal benefit before others.
Megalanias are highly adapted to nocturnal activities, making them formidable night hunters. Inhabiting swampy and marshy environments, Megalania strategically position themselves along muddy shorelines, patiently waiting for prey. Their methodical approach is to take advantage of the cover provided by the darkness of the night and the murky environment of the swamp, which increases their stealth and effectiveness in hunting. These creatures are ambush predators, taking advantage of their surroundings to surprise their targets. During the wet season, Megalania experiences a distinctive mating season that plays a key role in shaping their social dynamics. In contrast to their predominantly solitary nature, this season witnesses a temporary change in behavior as individuals come together for mating purposes. The wet season triggers specific courtship rituals and vocalizations that serve as a means of communication and courtship between members of the species. Megalania exhibits polygamous mating behavior, allowing for multiple partners during this period. This polygamous approach contributes to genetic diversity in the population. While they may be mostly solitary, Megalania's behavior takes on a more social dimension during these specific phases, this temporary aggregation serves not only reproductive purposes but also facilitates the sharing of hunting strategies and the protection of younger members within the group.

○ Picky Eater: If while stalking (not in combat) sub-apex or lower dinosaurs, Metriacanthosaurus sees a juvi/adol or injured dinosaur, they will switch targets to hunt their preferred prey.
○ Safety in Numbers: Will avoid adult apex dinosaurs unless in a pack of at least 3 adult Metriacanthosaurus. If there is no other prey available within line of sight, Metri packs of at least 3 adults may attack solo adult apex dinosaurs.
Low Aggression
Small - Needs at least 3 adult members to claim.
Matriarchal - Female Dominant.
Metriacanthosaurus are primarily cave dwellers during the daylight hours and often hunt during the dead of night. Being social animals, there is rarely a quarrel started between pack members, who enjoy the companionship of their partners and family. Metriacanthosaurus offspring will seek comfort in their family's claimed cave or their pack members, never straying too far from either. During a hunt, Metriacanthosaurus won’t stray from pursuing fleeing prey through water as long as they know no danger lurks in the water. Male Metriacanthosaurus will often be found caring for their young, but equal care is shared amongst pack members. Females will usually be the first to display interest; courting males that display striking colors that the females find attractive. Males will sometimes attempt to court first, but the females will ignore them if not interested.

When with young, Ocepechelon are commonly seen peacefully traversing rivers and lakes. These creatures will travel great distances with their bale to seek perfect hunting grounds to raise their young in safety. Passive and easy-going, Ocepechelon would prefer to not engage in combat. However, they will not hesitate to assist a group-member in need. Social but skittish, this gentle giant will occasionally beach itself to look at passing dinosaurs. It is not uncommon to find Ocepechelons swimming grouped together and offspring practicing their fish hunting skills. As if without a care in the world.

○ Safety in Numbers: Will avoid adult apex carnivores unless in a pack of 4 adults. Can defend themselves if attacked first. Can hunt any non-apex carnivores regardless of pack size.
○ Tactical Retreat: If contested for territory, or a body, Pycnonemosaurus must give up unless their pack consists of 4 adults.
Moderate Aggression
Medium - Needs at least 3 adult members to claim.
Matriarchal - Female Dominant.
Pycnonemosaurus prefer to be ambush hunters, using the cover of foliage to catch their prey off-guard. Pycnonemosaurus packs are more confident in riskier hunts and travel great distances to find their perfect hunting ground. Solo Pycnonemosaurus, however, tend to stick to familiar paths while traveling and are more reserved, avoiding larger carnivores that could pose a threat. Females tend to be more vocal and dominant over their male packmates, headbutting males that get in their path or uninteresting males that attempt to court them. Females often have headbutt competitions between each other to challenge for lead or partners. Once a Pycnonemosaurus accepts the others courting displays, they will reflect the same display.

○ Pack Hunter: When solo, Quetzalcoatlus can hunt any juvies/adols, scavengers, or low-tier dinosaurs. When in a group of 2 adults or more, Quetzalcoatlus can hunt all the same prey as solo, but also can hunt up to adult mid-tier dinosaurs. They can defend themselves from any dinosaurs if attacked first.
High Aggression
Nomadic - Cannot claim territories.
Mated Pair - Dual Leadership.
Will only 3rd party unwatched or unsuspecting juvies and will not stick around if their adult group members show up as protection.
Quetzalcoatlus fly as little as possible, mostly to escape combat or to travel long distances, taking frequent breaks during long distance trips. They often target unprotected or unaware young as well as small, oblivious scavengers for easier meals. However, they will become cannibalistic when desperate for food, vocalizing their aggression to other Quetzalcoatlus. Males tend to be more flashy in color than females, flaunting their appearance and wingspan to impress a potential partner. Although mostly solitary dwellers, when Quetzalcoatlus’ find a mate, they will pair up for life; they will travel great distances to meet each other and nest each year. Quetzalcoatlus prefer to nest in coastal areas and densely wooded forests, the terrain often matching their patterns.

○ Aerial Warriors: When solo or in a group of two, adult Rhamphorhynchus are wary and attempt to flee from other Pterosaurs unless cornered or pursued across one POI and into the next POI. Once at 3 adult members or more, Rhamphorhynchus can hunt all Pterosaurs.
High Aggression
Nomadic, cannot claim territories.
Matriarchal - Female Dominant.
Though often depicted as being aerial piscivores, they were avid swimmers like most modern day aquatic birds. Rhampho exhibited behaviors that showed that it was a primarily nocturnal hunter, spending their mornings either basking in the sun to gather enough energy for long flights or sleeping. They were lethargic by trade, during the night they have to eat about 3x their body weight to sustain their fast metabolism. Rhamphorhynchus was an avid forager, spending most of their time near shallow bodies of water eating any grubs or insects. Even small fish like the arowana would sustain the flying reptile for many days if solitary. They had an innate hatred towards a fellow ichthyophaga, the Thalassodromeus, and despite their smaller stature, they would frequently taunt solo Thala’s if in flocks; using this as a means to irritate and tire out the Thala enough so that it would be easier to kill. They showed a wide array of emotion and intelligence, males often preening female partners and offering gifts of food, small shells, and even starfish to impress females. Once the eggs have hatched, female Rhamphorhynchus will stay with hatchlings until they are ready to take their first flights. Juveniles and adolescents were playful and eccentric, using small cliffs to jump off of and glide down to strengthen flight muscles and coasting in very shallow waters. Oftentimes due to their naivety, they would become prey to Kaprosuchus.

Nomadic - Cannot claim territories.
Independent - Will think of their own personal benefit before others.
Sachicasaurus are known for their fiercely independent lifestyles, forming strong and exclusive bond pairs during mating and offspring rearing. In terms of dimorphism, male and female Sachicasaurus exhibit noticeable differences in both coloration and body build. Males are bulkier, boasting a more robust physique designed for powerful swimming and displays. Their coloration often features darker hues, serving as a visual cue to their dominance and maturity. Females, on the other hand, have a more streamlined and agile build, ideal for efficient navigation and hunting. Their coloration tends to be lighter, providing camouflage in open waters and aiding in their elusive movements. One striking aspect of Sachicasaurus behavior is their tendency towards cannibalism within their own species. This phenomenon occurs primarily during territorial disputes or encounters where dominance is challenged. Despite forming strong bond pairs for mating and raising offspring, the fierce competition for resources or territory can lead to cannibalistic behavior, emphasizing the ruthlessness of these marine predators. When it comes to nesting grounds, Sachicasaurus exhibits a remarkable instinct for selecting optimal locations. Females play a crucial role in scouting and choosing suitable nesting sites. These areas are carefully defended by the bonded pairs, and the protection of offspring is a shared responsibility.

Thalassodromeus mainly inhabit coastal regions. Their nature is characterized in solitary fishing expeditions, using their long beak to fish prey out of the water. Their social life tends to be limited to raising offspring together in their very early life stages. Thalassodromeus is a typical loner, with occasional interactions for mating or disputes over a favorite resting place. This flier does not stay in one place for long and undertakes long journeys in search of optimal fishing grounds, shelter or in search of a group and mate. Its ability to travel long distances in flight would have contributed to its success as a fish-eating pterosaur along ancient coastlines.

With teeth as sharp as a blade, the Xiphactinus was a predator to be feared by even the largest of aquatic predators if they were in a school. What they lacked in size they made up for in their brutish nature, showing aggression towards other aquatic creatures when they came into their territory. While they were brutes they were not fools either, choosing to flee from large ocean dwellers if they knew death was likely or if they were solitary using their alacritous and vigorous spirit. To those unfortunate to become prey to the Xip, their rows of razor sharp teeth would be one of the last things they could feel. By all means their deaths would be anything but quick, as the Xiphactinus lacked the strength to truly crush its prey making their death extremely slow and painful. Another way Xiphactinus would catch their prey would be to viciously thrash them about in their mouths before swallowing the creature whole before it could even feel the mercy of death. Young Xiphactinus would infrequently travel into the open ocean, the chill being too much to bear for their bodies at such a young age. Many young would not survive in deep oceans, their parents being unwilling to stay and care for their own young and leaving once eggs were laid. Their only kind gesture ever shown to their children would be them laying their eggs in inland rivers where small fish and grubs were plentiful until young were brave enough to venture out into deeper waters. In groups, Xiphactinus would follow the scent of blood to finish off any weakened prey, becoming frenzied by even the sight of the crimson liquid that contrasted the deep ocean blues.

Yangchuanosaurus is a strong and muscularly built carnivore, whose anatomy and athleticism suggest it is adapted for swift movement, enabling it to pursue and capture prey. Yangchuanosaurus employs a stealthy hunting tactic by patiently observing prey behavior, and strategically positioning itself for an ambush. Successful first strike gives them a decisive advantage over the course of further hunting. Injured and bleeding prey is unable to flee quickly, allowing the entire group to surround it and hold it in one place. It can be said that Yang is characterized by a rather cruel form of knocking down their victim. It is safe to say during courtship, these powerful creatures create a scene straight out of a horror movie. Females choose their mates very carefully and test their endurance through extremely long and dangerous playthroughs, which very often end in injuries, broken forelegs, and sometimes even fail by the death of the male. Yangchuanosaurus females are ferocious but very defensive mothers who very often favor young females by scaring young males away from the ready food she brought them. Only the strongest survive to adulthood, and such an early lesson helps to select the best future partners.

Most active during the daylight hours, Yutyrannus demonstrates a preference for diurnal activities, taking advantage of the sunlight for hunting and other pack-related tasks. Their hunting strategy is characterized by an ambush style, wherein they skillfully blend into their surroundings by adjusting their colors. This adaptive camouflage allows them to approach prey undetected, setting the stage for a coordinated and strategic attack. When engaged in the pursuit of small prey, Yutyrannus displays a playful and taunting behavior. This could involve cornering the prey and engaging in behaviors that not only contribute to the success of the hunt but also serve as a means of asserting dominance within the pack. During periods of rest, the pack's social structure becomes evident. Yutyrannus individuals take turns standing guard over their resting companions.
